More to come: Canada, Boston, Houston

OK, I did take my camera, but I didn't want to look like a tourist, so I left it in the hotel. However, I did buy several nice postcards at Schiphol before I boarded the plane to London. I was in Amsterdam during February of 1999.

Atlanta 1996
I joined two good Hoosier friends for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. We had a great time and enjoyed being a part of the Olympic experience. Forget the complaints of the commericalization, it was still a moving time feeling the Olympic spirit and joining a world community if only for a few days.(Added April 24, 2000)

This time, I took my camera along with me (most of the time). Here are some of the pictures I took in London. I was there for the whole month of February in 1998. I was there for work, so I didn't get much sightseeing done during the week, but the weekends were my own and I took advantage of it. I had a great time and enjoyed the history as well as the theatre. (Updated April 24, 2000)

After spending the whole month in London, working during the week and playing during the weekends, I took a few days off. I was able to get out and do some tours outside of London. Here are two pages of pictures from those day trips. (Updated March 28, 2000)

Also in February of 1998, we decided to take advantage of the train system in Europe. We took the Eurostar from Waterloo Station to Paris. It only took a couple of hours as the train really picks up speed once it gets out of the Channel Tunnel and hits the French countryside. Another benefit of this trip is getting the Channel stamp on your passport. (Added January 19, 2000)

San Diego
In October of 1999, I went to a conference in San Diego. And, like all good conference goers, I managed to find some time for sightseeing. I was a good boy most of the time, but one afternoon was far too beautiful to be caught sleeping through some seminar. (Added April 9, 2000)
